Rident Royalties is a royalty collection service dedicated to helping musicians and composers recover unclaimed earnings. As the company expanded its reach across music and media industries, it needed a new logo identity and website that would establish trust, reflect its digital-first platform, and resonate with creators in an increasingly cloud-based world.
Discovery
We collaborated with Rident’s leadership to understand the emotional and logistical pain points of their core users—musicians, producers, and film/TV composers. We identified key needs: credibility, ease of use, digital access, and a brand that felt grounded in music culture, not corporate finance.
Challenge
The challenge was to create a visual identity that clearly spoke to music professionals while aligning with the cloud-based nature of Rident’s software platform. The brand needed to feel both artistic and tech-savvy, signaling empowerment and clarity in a space that often feels opaque.
Ideation
We explored iconography rooted in studio culture—headphones, cables, jacks—and fused these elements with a cloud motif to reflect Rident’s software platform. This approach created an instant visual link between the musician’s workflow and the royalty collection process.
Concept Development
We developed a range of concepts combining analog audio tools with digital symbols. After stakeholder feedback, we refined the chosen direction: a headphone and jack integrated into a cloud mark. The design bridged the gap between physical music-making and cloud-based rights management.
Execution & Results
The final identity positioned Rident as a modern, creator-first platform. The logo instantly signals music and technology, while the redesigned website delivers a streamlined experience for users searching and claiming royalties. The result is a cohesive system that feels native to the musician’s journey.
